Warranty Information

Every Elego lamp is designed and manufactured by us in India, and each unit is tested before it leaves our facility. If something goes wrong that shouldn't have, we'll make it right.

Dead on arrival — 7 days, free replacement

If your lamp arrives damaged, defective, or does not switch on, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it free of charge. We pay the shipping both ways on a confirmed DOA claim.

A clear, uncut unboxing video is required for every DOA claim. Please start recording before you open the outer shipping box and keep filming continuously until the lamp is out of its packaging and you have tried switching it on. We cannot process a DOA claim without this video — it is how we prove courier damage to our shipping partner, and it protects you as much as it protects us.

Please keep all original packaging until your claim is closed.

Manufacturing defects — 12 months

For 12 months from delivery, we cover defects that come from how the lamp was made, including:

Cracks, splits or separation in the body or base that are not caused by impact
Joints or seams coming apart under normal use
Finish peeling, bubbling or flaking on its own
The lamp not standing or sitting correctly due to an assembly fault
Missing or incorrectly fitted internal components

Electronic components — 3 months

For 3 months from delivery, we cover the electronics inside the lamp, including:

LED module failure, flickering, or dead sections
Battery not holding charge or not charging at all
Type-C port not accepting a charge (when tested with a known-good cable and adapter)
Touch controls, dimming or colour-temperature switching not responding
Internal driver or circuit failure

A note on batteries. All rechargeable lithium batteries lose a little capacity over time. A gradual reduction in runtime with use is normal and is not a defect. What we cover is a battery that fails to charge or fails to hold a usable charge within the 3-month period.

Shipping during the warranty period

Outside the 7-day DOA window, shipping costs are borne by the customer for the entire warranty period. This means:

You pay to courier the lamp to our facility
You pay the return shipping to have it sent back to you after repair or replacement

We do not charge for the repair itself, the replacement part, or the labour on a valid warranty claim — only the courier cost sits with you. We'll tell you the approximate return shipping cost before we send the lamp back so there are no surprises.

We recommend using a tracked courier service. Elego Home is not responsible for lamps lost or damaged in transit on their way to us, so please pack the lamp well — ideally in its original box.

What's not covered

Accidental damage, drops, impact, or crushing
Water damage, submersion, or use in wet or outdoor conditions
Damage from a power surge, or from charging with a non-compliant adapter or cable
Normal wear and tear, including minor scuffs, scratches and gradual battery capacity loss
Small variations in colour, grain, finish or texture — our lamps are made in small batches and slight differences between units are a feature of how they're produced, not a fault
Any lamp that has been opened, modified, repaired or attempted to be repaired by anyone other than Elego Home or a partner we've authorised
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or use outside the instructions supplied with the product
Commercial or rental use, unless purchased under a business order agreed with us in writing
Products bought from any seller or channel other than elegohome.com or our official channels
Free gifts, promotional items, and accessories such as cables supplied alongside the lamp

How to raise a warranty claim

Email us at hello@elegohome.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim".
Include: your order number, the name of the lamp, and a clear description of the problem.
Attach evidence: photos of the issue, plus a short video showing the fault. For DOA claims, attach the unboxing video.
Wait for approval before shipping anything. We usually respond within 2 working days. Lamps sent to us without an approved claim will not be accepted.
Once approved, we'll share the return address and instructions.

Please keep your order confirmation. Warranty cover applies to the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase from elegohome.com.

How we resolve a valid claim

Once we receive and inspect the lamp, we will, at our discretion:

Repair the lamp, or
Replace the faulty component, or
Replace the lamp with the same model, or
Where the model is no longer available, offer a replacement of equivalent value or store credit

Inspection and repair typically take 7–10 working days from the date we receive the lamp, plus courier time. Repair or replacement under this warranty does not restart or extend the original warranty period — cover continues to run from your original delivery date.

If we inspect a lamp and find the issue falls outside this warranty, we'll tell you before doing anything, and offer a paid repair where one is possible.

Warranty and returns are separate

This warranty is separate from our Return & Refund Policy, which covers requests to return an item within 7 days of delivery. Please read both.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
